Oh Hey, Chris Carrabba <3

Last weekend, Lola and I went to see Twin Forks at Thalia Hall. Danae would have been there too, but she was in Arizona. Please forgive her. This was the third time we’d seen Chris Carrabba this year alone. The fifth time I’ve seen him since Dashboard came back at Riot Fest in 2014. I’m a fan. BIG fan.

The crowd was pretty small so we got right up on the rails. It was a dream.

Hearing Chris Carrabba sing at full blast turns me inside the fuck out every time. Hands down (ayyyyy).

When the show was over Chris said the band would be at the merch table and would love to meet everyone. I don’t think I’ve ever moved so fast. We were like the 6th people in line to MEET CHRIS CARRABBA OH MY GOD.

And then. With the faint strum of an acoustic guitar and lots and lots of feelings. It was my turn to meet the man who’s songs have literally saved my life on more than one occasion.

I don’t know if you can hear it from the picture, but I was SCREAMING inside.

I even made a joke!

MADISON: Hi, I’m Madison.

CHRIS: Hi, I’m Chris.

Shakes hand.

MADISON: I’ve literally seen you every time you’ve played Chicago since you came back at Riot Fest three years ago. I swear I’m not stalking you, I just have a lot of feelings.

Chris laughs

CHRIS: Well thank you. We’ll be back in June!

MADISON: I’ll be there!

YOU GUYS! I don’t even know where to begin. He was so nice. I’m so happy that happened. Now I just need to figure out how to meet Ginger Spice and I can die happy. Music is the fucking best.
